Professor John M. Cioffi, PhD is Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He is also a Marconi Fellow, a Fellow of the IEEE and a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering. Dr. Cioffi was a co-founder and chief technical officer of Amati Communications, a company based on his invention of the DMT industry standard technology for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line data communications systems. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of ASSIA, Inc., a developer of high-performance software tools for the DSL market.

Mary Ann Davidson is the Chief Security Officer at Oracle Corporation, responsible for Oracle product security, as well as security evaluations, assessments and incident handling. She is a member of the Global Chief Security Officer Council and the editorial advisory board of SC Magazine and was named one of Information Security's top five "Women of Vision".

Frank J. Fanzilli was formerly Managing Director and Chief Information Officer at Credit Suisse First Boston, responsible for the Global Information Technology Division, which provides technology solutions and services to over 25,000 in staff in 90 offices worldwide. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of PeopleSoft and current board member of Interwoven and Open Source Development Labs.

Ross Ireland was Senior Executive Vice President of Services and Chief Technology Officer for SBC Communications. In this capacity, Mr. Irleand was responsible for Network Planning and Engineering, SBC Laboratories, Procurement, Real Estate, the Network Staff Groups and for a short time IT. Mr. Ireland retired from SBC in May of 2004 after 38 years of service, with 14 years as CTO. He currently serves on the boards of Adtran, ASSIA Inc., Matisse Networks and Neustar and is also on the Advisory Board of the Communications and High Tech Practice of Accenture Consulting.

Professor Lawrence J. Lau, PhD, is President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Kwoh-Ting Li Professor in Economic Development, Emeritus, at Stanford University. An economist specializing in economic development, economic growth, and the economies of East Asia, he developed in 1966 one of the first econometric models of China. He currently serves on the boards of several private corporations separately based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the U.S.

Professor Hau L. Lee, PhD, is the Kleiner Perkins, Mayfield, Sequoia Capital Professor of Engineering Management Science at Stanford University. Prof. Lee is a recognized expert in supply chain management and is a co-director of the Stanford Global Supply Chain Forum. He is the founder of two technology companies and serves on the boards of several private companies.

Frank J. Marshall is a private investor and consultant to technology companies. He serves on the board of directors of PMC-Sierra and was formerly a director at Juniper Networks. He is a venture partner at Sequoia Capital and a member of the advisory board of InterWest Partners. Previously, he was vice president, general manager of Cisco Systems’ Core Business Unit.

Dr. Masahisa Naitoh currently serves at the Chairman & CEO of The Institute of Energy Economics in Japan. Dr. Naitoh has played an active role in government, academia, think tanks and the business world for more than 40 years which include key posts at Japan’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Senior Advisor to the Institute of Energy Economics in Japan and Vice Chairman of ITOCHU Corporation. He serves on the boards of several U.S. companies including Dow Chemical.

Dominic P. Orr, PhD is the CEO of Aruba Networks. Formerly, he served as Chairman, CEO, and President of Alteon WebSystems, which was acquired by Nortel. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Bay Networks and the general manager of Asia for Hewlett Packard.

Dr. Niel Ransom has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Until 2005, he was the worldwide CTO of Alcatel and a member of its governing EXCOM. He held various general management roles at BellSouth and Bell Labs. Dr. Ransom is currently CEO of Ransomshire Associates, Inc., a company supporting venture capital and early-stage companies in achieving business growth and successful exits. He is Chairman of Teknovus, Inc. and also serves on the boards of AMCC, CoreOptics, kbro, Overture Networks and Turin Networks.

Professor William F. Sharpe, PhD is a Professor of Finance at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Dr. Sharpe is one of the originators of the Capital Asset Pricing Model, work for which he received the Nobel Prize in Economics. Dr. Sharpe is past President of the American Finance Association and currently serves as Chairman of Financial Engines.
