Shadi joined Focus Ventures as an Associate in 2008. Prior to Focus Ventures, Shadi was an analyst at Bessemer Venture Partners, focusing on early through growth stage software and consumer internet investment opportunities. Previously, Shadi founded DoggieWire, a dog breeding website, and worked with the fundraising department at the Humane Society Silicon Valley. Shadi began her career with CIBC World Market’s Technology Investment Banking Group.

Shadi holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University. While at Stanford, she was a member of the Varsity Sailing team.
